ALL QE4 FERRY SERVICES ARE SUBJECT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS LISTED BELOW. PASSENGERS ARE PROMPTED TO REVIEW AND AGREE TO OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE BOOKING A DEPARTURE.
Passenger-initiated changes
To change or cancel a ticket, click ‘Manage this booking‘ in the confirmation email. Changes and cancellations are permitted up to one hour before departure. No-shows are not refundable or eligible for a trip credit
If you are having technical issues while changing your ticket, please email us immediately at least one hour before departure with your name and date/time of the trip – info@qe4ferry.com
Unfortunately, you are unable to change from a St Thomas to St Croix trip and vice-versa and will need to cancel and re-book it at least an hour before the original departure
Discounts and payments
We don’t offer any discounts for passengers or cargo with no exceptions. Seats must be paid for before they are reserved. We do not accept personal checks, and business checks must be received and cleared before the seats are booked
Carry-On Baggage
- Carry-On Baggage Allowance: 2 pieces of free carry-on per passenger. Standard baggage sizes: one bag (maximum dimensions 21.5″x15.5″x9″) and one smaller personal item. Additional bags are $25 when paid online.
- Maximum weight of both free carry-on items: 50 lbs.
- Overweight carry-on baggage: $.50/lb. above 50 lbs., with a minimum additional charge of $10.00 (paid at the time of check-in).
- Large and overweight items may be subject to additional fees
Please note that the Federal Government restricts items that can be included in carry-on baggage. Please refer to http://www.tsa.gov/traveler-information/prohibited-items for information about restricted carry-on items.
Cargo
Cargo is $0.50 per lb with a minimum charge of $10 for less than one cubic foot or $20 for greater than one cubic foot. Large and overweight items may be subject to additional fees at the agent’s discretion. Cargo must be dropped off 30 minutes before departure and paid for at departure unless otherwise arranged prior. Cargo is billed per trip with an additional 50% charge for cargo left overnight
Unclaimed bags/cargo
Cargo that is not claimed within 48 hours will be moved to storage. We will not hold cargo for more than two weeks. We do not offer insurance and will not refund damage to cargo. We are not responsible for cargo that is not picked up at the initial arrival or for any items that are left on the boat
Pets
Pets must be accompanied and secured in a kennel or carrier. The kennel is counted as additional baggage and is $25 for under 50 lbs, or $0.50 per lb for over 50 lbs. Pets need to be paid for when you arrive at the ferry
Cut-Off Times
For all departures, check-in time is 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. There is a strict check-in cut-off 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Passengers who arrive at the port less than 15 minutes prior to departure time risk missing their ferry ride.
It is normal that there may be no check in agent, but crews will arrive prior to boarding or departure time to check you in.
Please note that we can’t delay the ferry for any reason
Electronic Boarding Passes
QE4 Ferry services sends electronic boarding passes to the email address included with the booking for all departures. Please check your email approximately 1 hour prior to the scheduled departure time of the departure for an electronic boarding pass. The email you will receive contains specific instructions for how to use electronic boarding passes
Identification
One piece of government-issued photo identification or birth papers is required for all passengers. Proof of age is required for infants under two years.
Unaccompanied Minors
Under 18 years of age: Children aged 17 and younger are not allowed passage unless accompanied by a person 18 years of age or older who is responsible for their care and conduct.

Fees, Taxes, and Surcharges
Online pricing for all departures include all applicable taxes, fees, and surcharges. These include:
- Port Fees (PF)
- Passenger Insurance Fees
Check-in cutoff
Check-in ends 15 minutes before departure. Failure to arrive before this time may forfeit your reservation and we are unable to ensure that you or your baggage/cargo will make the next trip. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before departure
Weather Delays and Cancellations
Weather conditions may reduce operation to one round trip per day at reduced speed, or be cancelled entirely. Ferries delayed or cancelled due to weather will be replaced with the next available departure or a fully transferable departure credit valid for one year as preferred by the customer. Refunds are available for departures cancelled or delayed due to weather. Passengers whose trip is changed or canceled will be notified by the email on the ticket
Ferries cancelled by QE4 Ferry services for any reason other than weather are eligible for a full refund for the original departure plus an additional one-way trip credit that is fully transferable at no charge. Baggage and cargo are not included in the free trip credit. The full refund is automatically applied after the decision to cancel
Weather cancellations are automatically replaced with ticket for the next available date that we plan on running. You can change or cancel this ticket for a full refund by clicking “Manage this booking” in the confirmation email or by contacting us
Use of Your Contact Information
QE4 Ferry services collects contact information for passengers travelling on our departures. Passenger phone numbers and email addresses will be used to contact passengers regarding details or changes about a departure. Please provide a valid email during checkout as this is our primary form of contact. If a valid email address is not provided, you may miss important updates to your trip. If you have not received your confirmation email for a ticket, please contact us
